Modem Lights???!

For some reason I am unable to connect using Modem Lights (not sure if this is a RedHat or a Gnome applacation) as a user. When I click the appropriate button to start or stop a connection, nothing happens. When I am logged in as Root I can connect throught this application; however, the rest of the display does not function. I made sure that the same command was being issued to the modem in both cases through Modem Light's Preferences.

Any suggestions?


I am thinking this could be a modem compatability issue with RedHat...


I use RedHat 8.0, Gnome 2 and a USB 56K V.90 Zoom Fax Modem.
