printer in slack

does anyone know how to configure a printer in slack?

start with /usr/share/apsfilter/SETUP or install CUPS, do a searsh here, this question has been answered before.

thaxs a lot but my printer is not supported even for CUPS or apsfilter

what I have done is to install the lp, parport and parport_pc modules and print ASCII characters in terminal

echo this is a test > /dev/lp0

I just set up a HP deskjet 6122. Linuxprinting.org saved my butt. For some reason CUPS wouldn't compile for me so I went with LPRing and it seems to work fine. Color, duplexes, the whole bit. Except I need to align it better I think, one margin seems to be off.
