Squid newbie!!

Dear all,

I was told that squid can be a very powerful web proxy server. Thus, i look for information thru net, but, however, there isn't a very simple kickstart on doing this.
So, i am now here for asking some infor or articles on squid configurations. Pls, give some advices on squid.

i need something that explain on how to use and configure squid.
i have totally zero-ideas in configure a web proxy cache.
can somebody gives me some advices on doing this....
i feel headache.....

what distro u are using ...d/l the tar and install it...do a search ..there are lot of how tos avaiable ..squid is pretty straight forward for simple thing to configure....

You find info about squid there. there's lots of it on the net. search google.com/linux if you a 'special' howto, like '+squid +configuration +newbie' or something like that :)
