Having switch to Madrake 9.0 from Win2K about a month ago i'm trying to be adventurous and install plugins for mozilla 1.1, i can't get the Adobe plugin to install at all - it fails during an execuation with an error in line 221.. which i don't understand.. the ed command is not valid i think....

I have installed java and flash successfully :-) and i have had partial success with real player.. i have installed and made a link to rpnp.so, but mozilla plugin browser says it is not installed, but i can listen to radio 1...

the better the install instructions, the more success i've had... can anyone help???

tried to search, but all the info was on older versions....

cheers D

Do you have a symlink from the actual Adobe plugin to your Mozilla plugin directory?

i.e.

/opt/mozilla/plugins/nppdf.so is symlinked from /usr/X11R6/lib/Acrobat5/Browsers/intellinux/nppdf.so

http://fredrik.hubbe.net/plugger.html is a helpful site.

The Adobe plugin did not install properly, and does not work, so i did not try and install the link. Some of the files are created, but the process gives up, and tells me it failed.
