What driver file do I download for my Mandrake 8.1 box (geforce 2 MX400) from the nvidia website? I cannot figure out which glx file to download.

You might find that naming your Thread 'Which nvidia driver do I need?' will make people more likely to read the thread ;)

This really is a search first ask second question.
There must be at least a couple of dozen threads about NVIDIA drivers.
NVIDIA actually has a really well put together site when it comes to knowing what you need. The nvchooser script will help tell you what files you need.
The read me is a must when installing the NVIDIA drivers. You can't get them working without this because is tells you what entries need to be made in your XF86Config file.
Once I slowed down and actually read the entire file, I found the entry for disabling the nvidia splash at the start of X. There is more in there so take the time to read it. Well worth the effort.
