can I install Linux Mandrake on a separate HDD (not on a different partitioned drive) I mean separate Hard disk, and how can I switch to different OS if it is possible to install Linux on a different/separate drive? do I have to go to the BIOS settings and choose the bootable drive?

and whats the minimum disk space Linux needs?

Yes you can quite easily install linux on a second hard drive, and is actually the best way to do it.'Drake will ask where you want to put it during install.

LILO will sort it's self out as part of the installation procedure and let you boot eithe OS, no need to mess about with the BIOS.

Minimum disk space 'drake 9 = 2.5 - 3 GB
