i use redhat linux 8.0.the desktop manager i use is gnome.i want to programme a program to input Uighur,a language like Arbic , on X windows of linux, for example , by means of this program,i can use gedit to input and edit Uighur. but i don't know how to begin this work.please tell me some advice or where to find corresponding information , book that are able to instruct me developing this program step by step. thank you very much in advance !!!
