Is there a simple way to download everything in the Slackware current tree all at one time? If so do I just burn it to CD and install using the 5 boot disks? It seems like the easy way.
I know this is going to be a simple answer and I'm going to feel stupid.:D

Doesn't Slackware have a iso image you can download and burn to cd?

I guess I worded that poorly now that I read it again. They have an ISO file for 8.1. In another folder they have current and it doesn't have an iso file. If you download the current folder it is about 2.1 Gig. I have no idea how to go about using the current because I'm not sure what I need and I can't download 2.1 Gig.
It doesn't matter now anyway because Slack 9.0 rc1 was releasted today so it looks like it might be out soon. :p I plan on buying the new versions of Red Hat and Slackware so I'm just going to sit back and wait.
Thanks again Mr. Watts

Well, I -would- like to hear the answer to this question... but let me explain in a little more detail than he did.
Slackware has an ISO for 8.1, its latest release. It does not, however, have an ISO for its latest packages in slackware-current (right now, that's 9.0 rc1).
So, there're folders full of updated packages on the FTP, and there are outdated ISOs... I would like to make a bootable install CD for Slackware 9.0 rc1.
Is there any way to do this? Perhaps by updating the stuff in the 8.1 ISO with the stuff in the slackware-current directory?

To make a bootable Slackware install CD, get into the top level Slackware directory (The one with ChangeLog.txt in it) and issue a command like this to build the ISO image in /tmp:
mkisofs -o /tmp/slackware.iso \
This is from the Current (http://belnet.dl.sourceforge.net/mirrors/5dab50ba0cdef9a976884dab97554c1f/mirrors/slackware/slackware-current/isolinux/README.TXT) directory Readme text file.
I haven't tried it so I don't know how well it works!

Yeah, I noticed the readme about 10 minutes after I posted... feelin' a little sheepish now :D
Thanks for the help, though!
