Every time I run linuxconf (linuxconf-auth in RH7) I get this message when I try to exit, even if I haven't changed anything.
Status of the system
The state of the system is not in sync with the current/updated configuration. You are allowed to make it current, or continue with the current configuration. you can also look at the things that will have to be done to make the system current.
Things to do:
Executing: /bin/mount -o remount,exec,dev,suid,rw,uid=500,auto /mnt/c
/mnt/c is my main win98 (FAT32) partition, and I can access it no problems. I did have some problems with bad format messages at bootup after manual editing of /etc/fstab but that has stopped. The first 2 lines of fstab are as follows:
/dev/hda1 /mnt/c vfat
user,exec,dev,suid,rw,noauto,uid=500,auto 0 0
LABEL=/ / ext2
defaults 1 1
(I have no idea how the formatting will look after posting)
Is it a formatting problem, or something else? I can't seem to fix it from within linuxconf or fsconf
Any advice greatly appreciated
David
