I asked this a while ago in the software forum, but no one ever answered me and I have yet to find any information about it.

Does anyone know of Debian-based distro that supports ATA/66 Add-On Cards (and subseqently the hard drives plugged into that card) by default? To get Debian on last time I had to change one of my hard drives to my IDE Controller just to get it to install. For some reason, my original setup only works with Mandrake 7.1. Anyone? Does the standard 2.4 kernel have ATA/66 support compiled into it? Please! I'm sick of rewiring my computer!
