For my ECS k7s5a box with Slackware 8.1, and a GeForce 3 Ti200, the 4191 drivers will not work, but the 3123 ones do. I used the .tar.gz files. For you non-slackers out there, Slackware doesn't use rpm drivers.

I put off trying this for weeks, because on my other computer with the original nForce motherboard, and Suse 8.1, the 3123 drivers did not work, but the 4191 ones did. These were the .rpms.

This was incredibly annoying and wasted many hours of my time. Hope you do better!

But you can convert by using "rpm2tgz".

I bow to the master :>)

Thanks for the clarification John. BTW, your posts were a big part of the reason I decided to try slack-a decision that has paid outstanding dividends in my knowledge of Linux.

Or maybe it was just beard envy!

SHAZZAM!! Now the time is upon you (very soon) to dual-boot with FreeBSD, another great learning curve. On a seperate HD if you have it.:D :D
Look through your Linux utilities when you have the time, there are all kinds of tools like that to use with Slack. I come from a Windows/Litestep environment, so config files were nothing too astonishing, but the curve was still there.:p
