I've heard December, I don't know if that's accurate or not. And the person who told me said it would include a completely re-written (and useable) Kword. That's all I've heard, anyone know anything else??

Look for Redhat 7.2 before mandrake 8.1, then give it a couple weeks. Either that, or a decent (it's been a while) copy of SuSE to emerge. For the most part though, 8.0 is far ahead of the crowd, so be happy... :)

The newest MandrakeFreq was dropped just a few days ago. It's officially listed as MandrakeFreq #3 20010810. 2.4.6 kernel, KDE 2.2 beta, nautilus 1.04, mozilla 0.9.2, and a few other goodies. I'll be trying it in just a sec. That Estonia server was flying yesterday!

I installed the Red Hat 7.1.93 beta ("Roswell") the other day... it's getting close but still a lot of polishing to do.
One thing I noticed after a fresh install was how slow it was. Really really slow.
I thought KDE2.2 was to be a bit zippier, but it was really really sluggish.
So, hopefully that and a few other things will be cleared up before release.

As for drake 8.1, I haven't seen any word on release but, then again, I use Red Hat on one machine and  DEBIAN  on the other... I prefer my Debian box. It's wonderful!
