Canon BJC-620

Hi all, anyone out there who owns a Canon Bjc 620, running under Linux and able to get photos to print out properly. I have tried different settings and I get the pic printed out but it looks like it was taken with a infrared camera. :) I am using the foomatic + bjc600 driver that is recommended. The gimp print drivers apparently don't support the bjc 620. I am just trying to print out some pics of my newborn nephew. Nothing earth-shattering here. Several databases on the internet say that this printer works perfectly under linux, but I be darn if I have been able to get the proper output for photos yet.
