just installed X. I don't want to use any desktop environment such as KDE or GNOME,so I've decided to use fluxbox.
And the question is: which filemanager do you recommend? ? I was told that endeavour is a good one. What about Nautilus/Konqueror?Can they work in fluxbox? Is it easy to make a separate build of them, without their desktop environments?

You can run Konq and Nautilus in Flux exactly as you would do in their respective environments. Note that Nautilus also powers the GNOME desktop, so you will get your desktop icons too, IIRC.
A slender (but popular) alternative is ROX-Filer.
Endeavour Mark II is also supposed to be the dogs knobbly bits.

You can run nautilus --no-desktop if you don't want it to handle your desktop. There's always the gentoo filemanager that's nice and light, just not very easy on the eye :)
