Ok, I hope someone will be able to help me with this. I logged into my linux box and eveyrything was ok, I went to startx and I got this error:

xauth: timeout in locking authority file /home/paul/.Xauthority

Authentication failed - cannot start X server
perhaps you do not have Console Ownership?

WTF? haaaaaa!!! - could someone please help explain to me what's going on and how I can fix it. Thanx in advance.

First tell us what you have tried as I do not want to imply that you are stupid.

sorry guys, didn't mean it to sound like that
all I've done so far is delete the .Xauthority and try to startx again and I would get the same error.
