i just installed slackware and i am wondering how do i configure sound in it???

when it boots it says that there sound isn't configured, and since i am from redhat i tried sndconfg but it isn't there. so anyways just alittle helpfull advice about where i should go to get the sound properly configured, i believe it is a ISA soundcard.

In the module bootup config thingy (I think it is /etc/rc.d/rc.modules) simply unconfigure the line that relates to the relevant module for your card, and then either reboot, or (because we hating rebooting in Linux) just start the module manually this time with modprobe <modulename>

Thank you.

Yes. They're mistakes or typos in my book, but I try to fix them as soon as I spot them. A friend is never tired of pointing out the obvious.
