WINE question

I have been trying to get Diablo II to work in WINE forever now. I have read every piece of documentation on the web. Nothing has helped so far. I need an actual person who HAS done this themselves to give me some help. I had already installed D2 on my Win98 drive, so my command was:

cd /mnt/windows/Program\ Files/Diablo\ II
wine game.exe

The message I get is this:

err:mmsys:MMDRV_InitHardcoded You didnt setup properly the config file for the Wine multimedia modules
Will use the hard-coded setup, but this will disaappear soon
Please add a WinMM section to your Wine config file

If I try to run D2VidTest.exe, it goes through and finds no video adapters. Im baffled b/c everyone on the net said this would be easy. I dont know if my Wine is setup properly. I did what the man pages and stuff I read online said. If someone could put a link to a working wine.conf file, that would be great! Just in case it helps, heres my specs.

Asus A7V mobo
T-bird 1.2GHz
256 MB
Voodoo3 3000 AGP
X 4.0.3 /w acceleration
Mandrake 8.0

Someone posted on here how to get it working including with the expansion and I don't think he had a windows partition either. If only the search worked.

Rebob... do you know anything about TKWine? I tried to use it, and I got the error: 'cant find file .conf' I snooped around in the code and I didnt see any link to a .conf file. I just want my Diablo!!
