I am a linux user and I am thinking of trying FreeBSD. good or bad idea??

If you use Debian and varient, FBSD is almost the same thing. If you use others, it's good to try a new one. http://www.linuxnewbie.org/ubb/wink.gif

FreeBSD is pretty good. Compiling the kernel is proving to be quite a chore though.

I've been also thinking of trying BSD but I've thought of NetBSD. Which one do you recommend, Net of Free?

The only difficulty for me is relearning the names of devices. Other than that go for it.
