When I run KaZaa Lite I get this error
err:thunk:_loadthunk Unable to find thunk data 'Cctl1632_ThunkData16' in commctrl.dll, required by comctl32.dll (conflicting/incorrect DLL versions !?).
I have all my DLL's installed from Win98. And I have the DLL code's put in the config file. Any help would be helpful. tia

Ok let me say this, you will probloly never get it to work. Kazaa is spyware and virus ware. Yea you have the lite version, but its still spyware and virus ware, no matter what they say. Wine is just an eumlator, so when kazaa want to do all kinda of unseen, and bad things to you system it can't do it, so you get that error message.
If you really want to get a fileshare program for linux, get one of the donkey ones, of better yet get DcGui.
Better than Kazaa (http://www.gnutelliums.com/linux_unix/#Gtk-Gnutella)
it has a few listed here to choose from.
have fun

i guess i had the easy way out, I had a partition with win98 and xp dual boot. So when i installed the crossover version of wine, it found everything i need. Right now im running mirc and emule with no problems whatsoever. Mind you these are located in my other os's. So if you have the room id put in a 98 os, and run the winesetup again and see if it locates everything ok. Believe me when i tell you I have know idea what I am talking about...running mandrake9.1 rc1 for a day..first linux os..such a newb!

Do all Linux P2P programs access the Gnutella network. Is there a P2P program for Linux that connects to the Kazaa network? I've used Limewire and edonkey etc... I hate to say that NOTHING beats "Kazaa Lite".
Kazaa Lite = :)
*gnutella =

so no input on my kazaa problem, i have xp on my system as well, someone said a cross XP wine install? someone explain plz!
they probably mean crossover office. it is from codeweavers.
they have crossover plugins - for internet browser plugins.
and they have crossover office - for ms office and other windows apps.
they are both great products but unfortunately not free :(

I don't see why you really need Kazaa lite on Wine unless you don't dual boot to windows, I mean, if you are trying to get ware z (Probably Not), just use windows for that, and don't worry about it, for MP3s and junk just use limewire, or giFT.

here's how i got my kazaa running on mandrake 9
http://www.brad-x.com/unix/kazaa-FreeBSD.phtml
the only problem i had was with the folder names ( in the fake_windows folder there is a Program Files folder and a KaZaa Lite folder i changed that to Program and Kazaa and now it runs fine , if u use the wrapper from the site u have to edit that as well , that would mean change the folder names in the wrapper .)
