hmm 2.4.9 has fubar NTFS code and doesn't compile :mad:. Maybe I should grab the new modutils.

I had to scrub ntfs support for now. I never really use it anyways.

Now for the first 2.4.9 boot after I rebuild my initrd.

And they do seem to be releasing kernels around once a week.

I only started compiling the kernel around a month ago and started with the latest at the time. * 2.4.5 *

Just can't keep up, though it makes the whole process easier when you have a couple of scripts to cleanup everything and then start the whole compile process.

:mad: The ESS-Solo 1 soundcard driver is still broken and has been since 2.4.7 even though it has been updated. My kernel will not finish compiling. :mad:

it really sucks when all you care about is support for the two things that are broken (ESS solo 1 and NTFS) heh.

Doesn't someone at least compile it once before releasing a new version?

Seeing as all of us are having the same problem with at least ntfs, it would have been noticed by the kernel team.

Makes one consider putting Windows back on their pc. :eek:

I guess we'll see 2.4.10 out very soon.
