I have an environment with 2 computers and a DSL router that serves as
a DHCP hub/server/?. One computer has win2k and the other has SuSE
Linux 8.1. I have an HP DeskJet 920c printer on the win2k system with
sharing enabled. I have an account for "quis" on the win2k system. I
installed Samba on the Linux system and the set the workgroup name to
match the win2k system. Running smbclient I get the following:

quis@OlDude:~> /usr/bin/smbclient -L BADBOY
added interface ip=192.168.1.184 bcast=192.168.1.255 nmask=255.255.255.0
Got a positive name query response from 192.168.1.165 ( 192.168.1.165 )
Password:<p/w for the win2k quis account>
Domain=[QUISENBERRY] OS=[Windows 5.0] Server=[Windows 2000 LAN Manager]

It looks a bit cryptic to set it up manually so I tried to connedt to the
printer using Yast2. I picked the connection type:
SMB printing (Samba/Windows printer).

for the connection I used:

Host name of the printer server
BADBOY
name of the remote queue
InkJet
user:
quis
password:
*********

Then I clicked the button to test the connection and gor the message:

There was a problem.

Your network access is not properly configured
or the printer server is unknown or inaccessable.
Check the host name of the print
server or contact your network administrator.

Please help get me get this printer connection to work. It's getting
very frustrating.
