How to install ne thin

i know you people are probly gnna laugh at my newbishness, but how do u install thinks on linux. i downloaded cs for windows port and dont have a clue.... people are talkin bout u gotta make summin, i am running redhat linux 8 dual booted with windows xp athlon xp2000 60gb hd

A JL forum search for 'install software' or 'install programs' would likely have found

I don't know what else to suggest as both of those explain how to install tarballs and rpm's. Really cannot get any simplier.

Perhaps you should first get a little experience with using Linux before tackling any software installations. Don't run before you can walk. :)
