I use RH 7.1. When start RH, there is "start sendmail". It takes very long time to finish. How can I disable that. I don't use sendmail in Linux.

Hena 09-05-2001, 01:55 AM Program that start programs at the boot is called ntsysv. If you are using KDE, open KDE Control Panel and choose services. From there you see a list of services brought up by ntsysv. Then just take the mark off from sendmail. If you are not using KDE check man pages for ntsysv for its use in shell. dvdnut 09-05-2001, 04:37 AM OR in a terminal type in setup and it has the services startup menu to see what you want on or off. justlinux.com
