When I am in the installation, during the software installation, it says I run out of space. I have a 16mb boot partition, but it wouldn't install just to that would it? All of my other partitions /usr /home /usr/local are all over 2 GB in size. Anyone know what the problem is?

I believe /boot should be atleast 32 MB -- That is if you even need a boot partition. Don't forget to include a swap partition too!

ok, I'll try that. And yes, I made a 256mb swap partition, forgot to mention it. Also, I am choosing bare245.i for my kernel. Anyone know why that isn't the default?

Because as it stands none of the 2.4.x kernels are quite as stable as a 2.2.x kernels, but I'm not quite sure if that's the reason why they didn't make the 2.4.5 kernel the default from install.

ahh, ok. And last question (hopefully), what about the inodes? 4096 ok if I have enough disk space? I'm worried more about performance.

nope, it's still filling up. I made a 100mb partition. I'm not getting something.

The easiest way to install it would be to just make 2 partitons, / and swap. You don't need a boot partition at all, since the new slack doesn't have the problem with lilo and large hard drives.
