laptops and slack

Howdy folks,
I am getting more frustrated by the day since I only have one pc with 2 hard drives (one windows, one slack 7.1). I have to do lots of windows stuff so I cant just delete it. So I plan on picking up a laptop to run slack 8, are there any brands I should stay away from? I was just thinking about getting a gateway or dell. I've never owned a laptop so I wanted to get any advice before I make the leap.

Well, I can't speak negatively for any particular laptop, btu I can do the opposite.

I have a Dell 7500 and it loves Slack. :) Good luck my friend.
