kppp in RH6.1

I finally configured my Internet account and was able to connect but once connected i cannot open any programs. If i open then before i connect ...etc. Netscape...it works fine. I am Using Red Hat 6.1. If anyone has any suggestions i'd be very grateful.

I know isn't very much help but have you checked red hats erreta page? I used 6.1 for a while and never came accross that but I upgrade the packages right away.
