Could somebody help me get my Linksys NIC cards working? They say they are Linux tested. But I didn't see them on the list when I installed Debian.
How can I get the drivers for these?
Thanks,

Linksys are a little funky. They tend to use the Tulip driver...but then again, some require the old Tulip driver, the older Tulip driver, the not so old Tulip driver, the newest Tulip driver and the almost-newest-but-not-so-new Tulip driver.
Linksys cards are heads/tails. Some people are lucky and things go smoothly...their NIC uses a chipset that uses the Tulip that ships with distros. Other people get Linksys NICs that use a Russian-roulette of chips and drivers.
Long story short...try the Tulip driver that somes with Debian (you can use modconf to do that).
If not...try the Linksys NIC Newbiezed Help File here at LNO.

#1. If you dont know how maybe start with a easier distrobution first
#2. visit www.linksys.com (http://www.linksys.com) for the drivers. You will most likely need to recompile your kernel if tulip.o or ne2000.o are not working for you.
