After installing MD7.1 on my brothers system, works pretty good btw, I want to install MB8.0 now.

I did download the iso-file, burned it to a cd and in my Win ME it boots right away. I did check it, with the program md5sum.exe, that I did download after a lot of LINUX users did tell me here. No errors with the download.

When I put the cd in my bro's system, and try to boot with cdrom, it doesn't boot.

With a floppy, made a boot one with MD8.0, it boots, but when it has to start intstalling I get the next error:
Trying to access a CDROM disk (drive CD-ROM 36X/AKW)
That CDROM disk does not seem to be a Linux-Mandrake Installation CDROM.
Retry with another disk?

And then the options to choose, 0. 1. 2.

Anybody who has the sollution for this question?!?!?

I would try a different cd-rom drive and a different install disc if possible.

I'm assuming you have the boot sequence set correctly in the bios

I have had this a few times, i think it means that the ISO image has not been burned on the cd properly

I had the same error, I used ez cd creator to burn the image ISO file, it was a bad burn
SO I reburned it and it worked....go figure... :)

I would try a more sensible thread title, and another CDROM.

Make sure the CD is ISO and not Joliet. Easy CD creator automatically burns in Joliet. To change it in easy CD creator go to CD layout properties, look at file system, then if it is Joliet change it to ISO9660.

Thank you all for your reaction!

I will tell you a bit more what I did.

First of all, I used Nero. I did fix the ISO first with the programm WINISO, to get the all the files out of the ISO format. I don't know, how to burn an ISO with Nero.. Somebody is bright enough to tell me this?

Thanks again,

EvD!

I don't use Nero myself. Try this

http://www.linuxiso.org/neroburning.html

It should help.
