Currently have 7.0 installed but low and behold I upgraded and toasted it but that is my own fault for starting it and going to bed. So I am going to reinstall and do a tighter install anyway. So should I d/l and burn 7.1 or is there enough difference in them to do that? Just wondering which to install tonight. Thanks for advise.

Well, if you have a fast enough connection to the net -- I suggest just installing the 'a' and 'n' series disks. This should be enough to get your box up and on the net. You can then head over to a slack mirror and grab the packages you want to install from the 'slackware-current' branch.
If you use KDE, the current package is wondeful! Be aware some older (qt-1.4) programs may not compile without some intervention on your be half due to the qt2 update.
Have fun
