OK, i did a search, and a few people haev asked this, but it was a while ago, and things change :)
I'm thinking about getting a PDA (Personal Digital Assistant) and wanted to know which ones i could sync to my linux box (my main OS).I've heard Palm can, does can every version? or just specific versions of random types of PDAs? I'm not really caring about features yet, as i can do research once i have a list of PDAs with work with linux.

Palm definitely works, although you're probably better off with one that has a serial connection rather than a USB connection on the cradle. Plus, I don't think the button on the cradle works. Or, you could be brave (foolhardy) and go for the Agenda VR3 which actually runs Linux. Alternatively, I would imagine that the Compaq iPac has good Linux support, given that they also have put Linux on it as an OS.

My Palm, in Gnome works really better than it did in Winderz. There are more "things" it can do, like drag and drop a file, or database, or app over the icon, and it remembers it. Next time it sees the Palm, bang, in it goes. And, yes, here, anyway, the button works as expected. Ray
I have not actually done this yet, but I asked a similar question the other day, and it seems that many people have been able to get their Handspring Visors to sync with out too much dificulty. I found somewhere a detailed HOW-TO on doing this also. Try a google search.

mrBen, you say "palm definitly works" does the version matter, or do all work? does the version matter for any PDA?
