UT problems

im having problems with ut , everytime i try to launch it a black screen appears and then it throws me back to the desktop and gives me this error:
Signal: SIGSEGV [segmentation fault]
Aborting.
Exiting.
Name subsystem shut down
Allocation checking disabled
Violacion de segmento

Did you make sure you have 640x480 defined in your XF86Config-4? Or whatever resolution it's trying to start it with.

Just out of interest, do you have a geforce and use KDM to login?

TheGimp, I have just installed the nvidia drivers the right way to enable OpenGl, But for some reason UT won't play in OpenGl. Is it because I have to point it to the new nvidia drivers? UT is probably going to regular opengl drivers so maybe thats the prob? If so, what steps do I take to point UT to new drivers? I have no clue to where nvidia installed em at or what they are called. The file I used was NVIDIA_GLX-blah-blah.tar.gz. Any help would be met with a hearty hug ;)

i noticed that thegimp mentioned the kdm login screen
is this not a good thing to do if i want to do stuff with opengl?
