Moving to rants forum. :D

Why don't you just ask here for assistance on doing that thing that you weren't able to do in linux?

How did you ask? And, was it something that nobody in the world would have a clue to do anyway? Really...despite our wonderful super human abilities and our massive brain capacity to solve such arduous enigmas of tremendous proportions...we do have our limits.

However, try posting again - and make sure it's not a question that can easily be discovered by a little work...and then, you may find you have an answer to your problem.

A second option:

Whine. *****. Moan. Stick with Windows.

If you want to take advantage of the first three, you should probably do it in RANTS, as has already been suggested.

If you want to take up the fourth, you have my permission.

Just thought I would add this:

Also get ready to call Microsoft when ever you add a new hard drive or video card to your machine, or else Windows will stop working ;)

A fine musician never blames his instrument :)

Seriously though, I did a search and it listed your last 4 posts, all of which people appeared to either answer or try to answer.

You've probably used windows for a number of years and therefore you know where all the controls are, well now you're using a different os so you can expect to be a little confused for a while. It's like if someone threw me on mac os I'd be pretty confused also :)

If you can't figure something out yourself in under an hour, post about about it and try at it again the next day. Taking a day to think something over with the help of some suggestions on the message board can make everything go pretty smoothly.

I do searches on http://groups.google.com for a lot of my own Linux questions, lots of info there.

If you're going to compare how long it takes you to do somthing in linux to how long it took you to do it in windows, you realy shouldent be learning linux in the first place!

You have to understand that Linux is NOT windows. It does things very, very differently, which is the largest hurdle to jump for somone who has used windows exclusivly. You cannot just apply your windows skills to linux. It won't work.

For example (god, I realy hate comparing computer to cars, but this is the only thing I can think of) Anyone can drive and automatic transmission car...but you have to put more work into learning how to drive a stick shift car. It is much easier to learn how to drive a stick shift if you haven't gotten used to an automatic car. But in both cases, when you first start out, you tend to stall it often.

Thats what learning linux is like. Moments of foward movement with some stalls scattered in between. You stall more if you're trying to apply your past windows experience to linux.

Be patient!! Learning linux takes a lot of time, and don't get upset that it takes you longer to do things at first. Because eventuly, there will come a time when everything just clicks, and you'll realize what you've been missing all this time. Then, you find you are able to do thing at the same speed or even faster than in windows.

Have fun, enjoy the experience (even though it can be frustrating), and be sure to research your problems using google ( http://www.google.com ). If you can't find the answer, or can't understand it, post a question here and we'll try to help you.
