I was just reading the sept. 02 issue of Linuxformat and it said that SGI has sold his "patents regarding significant portions of OpenGL to Microsoft last year...". Also it said that "Microsft suggested it would be seeking Reasonable and Non-Discriminatory payments for the right to use its intellectual property".
Now my question is why the hell would SGI do such a thing? and is this really going to affect non-MS OS?
