Hi!
I recently noticed, when running top, that the xinetd process is running at about 98% user cpu time - is that normal?
I also tried switching on accumulated values and then STIME (I think the last column was called) showed about 1200 minutes for xinetd, 100 minutes for inetd and 0 minutes for the rest of the processes.
Is this an indication for something or can I just forget it?
My box is running redhat 8. I've tried to shut down apache, mysql etc (even though I don't run those through xinetd) to no avail...
I'm not sure exactly what type of extra info would need to be posted to get an answer to this, so please feel free to enlighten me!
Thanks for any help,
