First of all, I'd like to give a big "thanks" to the people who helped me in my last thread. The info you gave me fixed everything.

Anyway, my soundcard (Soundblaster 16) isn't working, and I'm assuming it is because I didn't select a driver for it during install time. The only driver I saw that looked like it was what I needed was for a yamaha OPL-3 (??), which is.. I think... the chip the SB16 uses, although I could be (and probably am ;) ) wrong. Basically, what I need to know is where to get a driver for my sound card, and how to load that driver when the computer boots (using insmod, I know... but do I just add that line to rc.local, or what?)

Thanks for any help you can give!

Have you recompiled a kernel before? Because that's probably what you'll have to do. I belive you can compile the module for your card when you do so.
