i am using linux mandrake 8.2 and i am wanting to set up the internet connection so i can access the internet from my linux box. i have ICS setup on my win2k server (i have my laptop connected through the switch) and i will be connecting the linux box through the switch as well. i have tried to set it up with a dhcp server, but it can't seem to get actual internet access... i don't know if my hostname is wrong... here are my windows 2000 pro settings:

TCP/IP
workgroup: @HOME
IP Address: 192.128.0.1
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0

any suggestions would be great... thanks.

*edit: i figured it out... i had my dhcp client set wrong... it needed to be set to the server's hostname, not it's ip address... now i just hope it still works after a reboot*
