Help Installing Mandrake 8.0

I have Celeron 466 + 192 MB RAM + S&F CDR x4x4x24 + Voodoo 3 3000 + USR 33.6 Modem + Toshiba PDR-M5 USB Digital stills camera.
I went to local shop and bought the Mandrake 8.0 Power Box, installed it and here started the problems - My USB camera didn't work, problems with the X, problems with the printer, CDR, Sound, etc ....
I fought my computer for few weeks, read tons of documentation, finally I’ve got everything works, except one thing - 3dfx !
For now, I want to format my machine again and reinstall, but I’m afraid to do it becouse i don't have any friend who knows Linux ! Another problem - normal INet access is in my office, and at home - only 33.6 - very slow !! (i have E1 at work). I must tell that I count myself newbie in Linux, but Profy in Windohs.....
Can anyone ,please , be my mentor, and help me with the installation ? All i need - an Email address, and fast response.....

I already tried those mailing lists and tried the dri investigation - there are 2 possibilities :
1) I'm too newbie to undrestand it
2) I'm stupid

I think the second is wrong (my personal opinion), so that's the reason i try to find some help here.
