Hey, I have looked through a few posts but still cant find anything to help so I'll put this tou all. I have Mandrake9.0 and windows ME on the same Hard Disk, I have manged to access my Kazza files but I am trying to access Kazza through it. I was told that Mandrake has WINE already installed but cant find it anywhere. Is this right??Any help would be much appreciated.

Cheers.

If you're looking for an RPM of Wine for Mandrake 9, try:

www.rpmfind.net

However, I prefer compiling it from the tarball. And since Wine is continually being improved upon, I recommend going to www.winehq.com and downloading the newest release.

It might not be installed by default. ... but the RPM should be on CD2 or 3... I wrote a WINE & KAZAA HOW TO (http://www.linux-solutions.us/forum/viewtopic.php?p=332#332) ... Follow the directions should get you going....

Why did you choose Wine over WineX

Well, in my opinion, WineX is only good for games. It doesn't do well (or as good) for apps like Dreamweaver. Probably the same for Kazaa Lite, I think.

I'm still having problems with mandrake and wine, but that's not my question

can you install wine and winex or are there any compatibility problems?

You can install both in your box. I did it and there isn't any problem, as so far as I can tell.
