Mandrake 7.2, when asked to create a ReiserFS partition (yes I love ReiserFS!) uses an older 3.5.x format. The new 2.4.1 kernel comes added 3.6.x support.

Is there any significant advantage to the newer format? If so, is there any reasonable way I can install Mandrake over a 3.6 partition?

OK, I see that 3.6.x is preferred by the 2.4 kernels.

My question is then, how can I create a Mandrake 7.2 installation (w/upgraded kernel) on a "new" ReiserFS partition? Is it feasible?
