Tell me do you like this netscape? david 10-20-2001, 08:34 PM I don't know, I've never used it :) I do however use Mozilla, which is what netscape 6 is based on. AFAIK, mozilla is netscape 6 without the AOL stuff. but again, I can't really comment on netscape 6, as I've never used it. nuisance 10-20-2001, 08:47 PM I use 6.1 on a windows box at work. I've had some problems with printing pages with images (gifs) on them. I also have had some HTML problems with frames. I'm not blaming windows for this, just noting it for reference. Everything else is OK, but I'm not in a hurry to upgrade (I still use 4.77 at home on a Linux box). m3rlin 10-21-2001, 05:34 AM well until now he wasn't giving me problems, he browse very fast,(i think i linux the internet goes faster than using micro$oft). This have a nice interface, and frendly. MarkLeong 10-21-2001, 07:04 AM Iam using Netscape 6.1 and I think it's good. However I do not know how to get applets going. Choozo 10-21-2001, 09:13 AM Up until recently I only used the latest releases of Mozilla (not nightly builds), and did not care about Netscape 6.x as this one was based on a earlier release of Mozilla. However, this did not mean that Mozilla would be better and more up to current standards as I found out when digging into XUL (the eXtensible markup language User interface Language). Granted, the XUL 'standard' has not been written in stone yet, but it gets frustrating anyway. An example of this 'broken' XUL support in the recent Mozilla releases can be viewed here: http://www.xulbook.com/xulexample.xul (take Netscape 6.x for a spin there, and then a current release of Mozilla). This will only work with browsers that have XUL support, like Netscape 6.x and Mozilla. I'm not sure about the most recent IE browser. Cheers :) justlinux.com
