hi ...sorry that this might not have anything to do with linux, but before i set up apache on linux, i was going to do it on windows first and see how everything works and stuff. so i did install it on C:/, but then one of the hyperlinks SHOULD be pointing to another drive D:/, is that possible however? like i know all the stuff must be in the default folder "htdocs" they created, but if i want to put some other stuff outside, is it still possible?

you can have the document root anywhere you want to.

i,e, - here is the line from my /etc/apache/httpd.conf

DocumentRoot /data2/www
