I finally decided to install Mandrake on my laptop..... But now I have a slight problem, I don't know how to get my wireless card working. I am using Mandrake 9.1.... I have no clue where to even start.

Any help is appreciated.

There are on lights on the card and nothing happends when I pull it in or out.

It's a iPAQ from compaq. Is it still supposed to beep when I put it in or pull it out?

Yes, the LinkSys WPC11 cards work with very little effort. I hope you don't say you have a D-Link 650+ or some other newer card by them...

...the reason? Priproritoy (sp?) chip made by Texas Instraments and there was a release of a binary only driver for them, but was later pulled because it only work with a specific kernel using Mandrake 7.2 :p

ok I recompiled my kernel and added PCMCIA support and enabled Wireless LAN support. Now, the light on the card is light, and the router show that the WAN has a link. If i putt the card out and put it back in it beeps a single low beep. What do I have to do now? I am pretty sure the chip's a prism.
