Hello Gurus,
I recently installed Red Hat 8.0 binaries. I hooked up a HP DeskJet 600C ( Don't laugh at the age of it, it was my first printer).
I went through the Red Hat install process for a printer, (Created a queue, using lpring etc). I found the drivers in the 8.0 bin directory. However I still can't get anything to print.
I'll settle for basic printing but eventually I want to print graphics.
Any help will be appreciated.

Try the HP support site. HP has some updateed Linux drivers which you might need. I used them for my older HP deskjet and all is fine.
They may be in Red Hat's rawhide release by now. Use www.rpmfind.net to download them. I think the file was hpijs-xxxx.rpm

according to this http://www.linuxprinting.org/show_printer.cgi?recnum=64576
the 600 should work fine I didn't find the 600c which driver did you select for the printer? check out the above link for the recommended drivers:D
You may also want to try using the common unix printing system software (cups) I use it on of deskjet 672C & it works great for me. Check out this link for help with setting up cups http://www.redhat.com/docs/manuals/linux/RHL-8.0-Manual/custom-guide/s1-printing-cups.html
post back if you run into any problems
