Used to work once actually, I only got one channel but no sound, the
next reboot and it's gone...

How do I configure this thing? I already have 'tuner' 'bttv' 'videodev'
'i2c-core/algo-bit' 'tvaudio' running. I do 'scantv' and no channels are
found :(

my tv works for ntsc and probably us-broadcast (I've heard that
philippines work for us-broadcast).

I've got a Pixelview PlayTV pro w/ fm.
Can anyone help?

sigh, and I thought I got almost everything working now then this happens :(

Have you searched G4L for your TV tuner model to see if you can find any Linux specific documentation to help with the setup and configuration?

G4L search results for 'bttv tutorial' (http://www.google.com/linux?hl=en&lr=&ie=ISO-8859-1&q=bttv+tutorial&btnG=Google+Search).

Sorry as I don't have a TV tuner so know very little about them.

this link worked well for me.
the bttv tutorial link didn't work out though. Next prob is that there's no audio in recording :( (avi) is this normal?

Hahaha! I got sound record working!
I used aumix and pressed 'space' on the line in of my card, then I do the recording. It seems that aumix defaults to having 'P' rather than 'R' to record.

that is the whole point of S-video, there isn't any sound included on that chanel, you have to have seperate sound, S-video leads are basically an improved version of normal composite

hmmm, yeah but I got an extra audio-in on my tv-tuner and it'll fit my dvd-player audio in there. Actually I'm using my 'outside' dvd-player - S-video lead for the S-video line-in of the card and audio (composites?) will attach to the audio-in of the card.
Problem is how to get the audio-in working from the dvd-player to the card. It works in windows although it's volume is kinda low.

<happy penguin>Since the audio in for the tuner isn't working I bought one of those 'splitters' to have two input audio-in's for the main line of the card, both tv and dvd can be heard but I can still mute the tv though. It's working pretty well so far. I also noticed plugging it in to the mic will work as well. I still use the S-video by the way .. </happy penguin>
