Hello All,

Running RH7.3 and RH rpm version of vsftpd-1.0.1-5

the command 'cd ~cxfer' works in wu-ftpd but does not work in vsftpd. The user cxfer is allowed in and can go out of its directory.

But this command does not work in our script or just doing the command on the ftp command line.

Has anyone else seen this problem?

Thanks,
Roy

Hello All,

I now believe the command 'cd ~' or specify a user's home directory like 'cd ~cxfer' just doesn't work in vsftpd. The commands do work in wu-ftpd.

Actually, the commands work in wu-ftpd as long as the logged in user has permmission to leave it's directory.

Now I have to go back to wu-ftpd or have those windows administrators change their code. Life is full of decisions.
