ok i am a complete newbie to linux and im trying to get it to work on mandrake 9.0, yes i know its a winmodem, but i did download the drivers and it is supposed to be a supported linmodem. when i go to build the module for the modem drivers i keep getting these errors from kernel packages that i dont have installed. My question is where do i find these packages to install them.

On another note i dont know how to get my windows partitions visible in mandrake either, is there a link i can read up on this too, thanks

I don't run Mandrake but I guess it would be the same as Red Hat, or similar anyway, but the easiest way to make sure you have all the required kernel headers and source files necessary for file compiling etc, is to install all the "Developer" packages. Through the Pakages Manager (? ) choose all the programs for Software/Kernel development and install them...you may be asked for some of the CDs...and you should be OK:)
