i was trying to install suse linux, when i found that there was no place to download iso's of it. I am wondering if it is not under the GNU license agreement, or just where and how to get it.

SD zundra 10-20-2001, 03:06 PM It is free but you won't find any Suse full ISO's. The only think you'll find are the evaluation isos. You'll have to get it from their ftp site. bdg1983 10-20-2001, 03:06 PM Apparently you can only download the evaluation version. Nothing wrong with paying a few dollars to keep these companies in business. I always purchase mine. m3rlin 10-20-2001, 08:25 PM Hi must agree with Logon, there is nothing wronk paying some $, if fact i bought my Suse 6.3 (with 6 cd's) It was very cheep, at less here in Portugal, but however i do agree as well with the free stuff, because im most of the time broke :). And i have suse 7.0/7.2 for free, i downloaded directly from suse. febisfebi 10-20-2001, 10:16 PM I was actually going to buy it before i found that the cheapest place to get it was $69.99, which would be a large hunk of money for me, so i went to see if i could downloa it. I will wait for 7.3 to come out, and i will try a net install i guess. lm72 10-21-2001, 10:55 AM You guys may have to wait a while it's take SuSe sometime before they put on latest and greatest version. SuSe User</STRONG> which version is that.. Ludootje 10-21-2001, 02:34 PM if i would buy it, and then a new version is released, do i have to buy that one too or can i download a non-evaluation version from suse.com cause i'd have already payed for it once? bdg1983 10-21-2001, 05:20 PM You would have to check with SuSE to see if they offer a free (or discounted) upgrade if you purchase the current version within a certain time period before the new one is released. justlinux.com
