I am having no luck in finding out how to set up and manage some type of time syncing software for linux which will keep the computer time within a second or 2 of correct time.. I need this for correct sat. tracking software. any help on this would be appreciated
Thanks in advance

You could probably write a script and put in in root's crontab entry. :)

Check in your Services to see if you have the NTP daemon. It is used to synchronize your hardware or system clock to another server or atomic clocks on the internet.

Yes, this is likely to be named XNTPD, or something similar. It is a fun thing, I think, in addition to being useful. I did a page on setting it up at: www.raymondjones.net/ntpguide.html (http://www.raymondjones.net/ntpguide.html)
Hmmm, satellite tracking? de WA4AJY, and I bet I know what you are doing. :) 73's.
