/mnt/windows

Hi,

I am using Madrake 7.1 and KDE. Well, when I tried GNOME, the filemanager hangs on choosing /mnt/windows. The same KDE file manager works fine though. Any comments about this?

What file manager are you using? I'm assuming GMC for GNOME. I'm also assuming that you have your Windows drives mounted on /mnt/windows as well. Start up an Xterm (or gnome-terminal, or kterm or whatever), and execute gmc from the command line so you could possibly see any error messages that come up.
