Hi, got me a strange problem here... I have a 600MB file in my laptop and I want to upload it to my desktop. I only have the ftp server enable on the desktop. I am able to upload the file fine for first few MB's. Once it reaches to sometime 4MB and sometimes 12MB, the upload seems to stop. It just sits there, and no more network traffic. Anyone seen this strange behavior before?

To debug, I try to enable logging by adding the switchs "-v -L" for ftp in the /etc/inetd.conf file. But I think syslog is not catching all the ftp loging/debug messages.

I have this line in my /etc/syslog.conf file:
*.info;mail.none;news.none;authpriv.none /var/log/messages
Should that catch the ftp debug messages? If not, can you give me a clue on how to add the more verbose ftp logging for debug?

Both laptop and desktop are running RH 6.2.

Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Bane
